Hand dyed, fingering/sock weight, Harry Potter Inspired yarn with a blend of green, cabernet, purple, and gray. The yarn base is a 75% Fine Superwash Merino Wool/25% Nylon blend that's perfect for socks, hats, scarves, sweaters, blankets, and shawls. The yarn works up in a variegated pattern. Sirius-

Disowned by his family at 16 for rejecting their pure blood ideations, Sirius Black was a complex wizard. Although he was highly intelligent and brave, he was also reckless and temperamental. Making up ¼ of the Marauders, he learned to become an Animagus and would turn into a large, black dog to keep his friend Lupin company when he turned into a werewolf during the full moon cycle. As a member of The Order of the Phoenix, he used his former family home as the headquarters for the Order- 12 Grimmauld Place. Wrongfully imprisoned in Azkaban for Peter Pettigrew’s murder by Barty Crouch Sr., he managed to escape in order to help protect his God son- Harry Potter- after seeing Peter Pettigrew in his rat form on the page of The Daily Prophet. He would meet his demise by his own cousin- Bellatrix Lestrange. Sirius was a true and loyal friend, who would give his own life to protect his loved ones.

With our Sirius colorway, we decided to use darker hues reminiscent of the colors of some of his outfits from the films. We blended hues of a mossy green with shades of purple and even a dark eggplant. There’s also a bit of gray in the colorway as well. A fingering weight yarn was used, so it’s perfect for socks, shawls, scarves, wraps, hats, or even a pair of gloves.

- 75% Fine Superwash Merino Wool / 25% Nylon 

- 4 ply, Fingering/Sock Weight, 437 yards / 100 g 

-Handwash in cool water with a mild soap. Dry flat. 

**Darker colored, highly saturated yarn, may have some color release when washed. Highly recommend to hand wash again before starting your project. Mixing wash with distilled white vinegar or a small amount of rubbing alcohol will help. Helpful to add color catcher sheets to your wash.
