Hand dyed, fingering/sock weight, Halloween inspired yarn with a mixture of straw yellow, orange, gray, and black that were poured and speckled onto the yarn. The yarn base is an 80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon blend, that's perfect for socks, hats, scarves, sweaters, blankets, and shawls. The yarn works up in a variegated pattern. Set up as a decoy to scare off birds from growing crops, Scarecrows are commonly found on farms and country sides. However, they have become popular yard decorations, Halloween costumes, and even cute little table decorations. They also can be quite scary depending on how they are constructed. The Scarecrow Colorway was heavily inspired by these straw packed, human shaped decoys. Shades of orange, straw yellow, gray, and black were poured and speckled onto the yarn, creating a beautiful fall inspired variegated colorway.

-80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon

-2-ply, Fingering/Sock Weight, 100 grams, 399 yards

-Handwash in cool water with a mild soap. Dry flat. 

*If using more than 1 skein in a project, it is highly recommended to alternate between skeins every few rows, as there will be variations between skeins due to the hand dyeing process. If only using 1 skein, may want to consider winding the skein into 2 separate cakes and alternating between the 2 cakes.

**Darker colored, highly saturated yarn, may have some color release when washed. Highly recommend to hand wash again before starting your project. Mixing wash with distilled white vinegar or a small amount of rubbing alcohol will help. Helpful to add color catcher sheets to your wash.
